This tiny plant has a noxious relative, Capsella Bursa-pastoris, or Shepherd'sPurse, which bears a great resemblance to this plant, but is taller. See the section on non-native plants. Also, Wikipedia and Southwest Colorado Wildflowers have more information. There has been a name change for this plant. It is now Noccaea fendleri, but older books will still call it N. montana.
