Order Caryophyllales, Family Cactaceae, Genus Opuntia
The wrinkles on the pads of this cactus are diagnostic. Prickly Pear grows along Lower Magnolia, and probably near Gross Reservoir as well. I have probably mentioned that I had a Siamese cat named Opuntia.
