Hydrophyllaceae (Waterleaf Family)

These plants are typified by the young buds, which grow in a tight coil, unfurling as they mature. The exserted stamens (protruding beyond the other flower parts) are diagnostic. As of January 2018, APG IV has placed Family Hydrophyllaceae in Order Boraginales.
