Scrophulariaceae (Figwort Family)

The Scrophulariaceae, or Figwort, family contains some of our most striking native wildflowers, as well as invasive plants such as Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea), Snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus), and Wooly Mullein (Verbascum thapsis). Foxglove is a source for digitalis, a heart medicine. According to the APG III, many of these plants have been reclassified.
