This mustard appeared suddenly, in force, in 2003. I had never seen it before! Now it is everywhere, by the millions. I don't think anything can be done about it --- it's too numerous. Alas. We'll just have to see what it does. It can be pulled easily, but you could go nuts.

The brown vegetation is mature Draba nemarosa.

Taken in May, 2006, these photos show how this plant, which in 2003 produced primarily single-stemmed, flimsy plants, is now producing robust, mat-forming, multi-stemmed plants. I wish I had started a formal study of this invasion, but I didn't. Any volunteers?
