Euphorbia virgata (Leafy Spurge)

Order Malpighiales, Family Euphorbiaceae, Genus Euphorbia

Eradication of this plant probably isn't possible once it becomes astablished. Control may be the only way to deal with it. It should be mowed, never pulled or dug up. Goats may help, but our populations aren't really big enough to warrant bringing in goats. A similar pecies, E. esula, has broader leaves and is very unlikely in our area, but there are sources that mistakenly refer to E. virgata as E esula.
