Order Asterales, Family Asteraceae, Genus Senecio
This beautiful and abundant plant grows in meadows. I have been actually removing some as they are TOO abundant in our meadow. More information available at these links: Wikipedia and Southwest Colorado Wildflowers. For a discussion on Senecios vs. Packeras, go to Southwest Colorado Wildflowers.

Young plants are extremely pubescent, or fuzzy. This diminishes with age.
